Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will remain under the influence of a heatwave and the baking temperatures are higher than their annual average by about 8 to 9 Celsius degrees, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily report.
During daytime hours, sweltering conditions prevail in most regions, and scorching weather in the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea, the JMD forecast.
In the evening hours, southern regions will see a few patches of rain, with southeasterly moderate to active winds, it said.
On Sunday, the scorcher will also continue to hit as mercury levels will spike 9 to 10 degrees Celsius higher than their annual average, according to the forecast.
The Amman highs and central highlands will hit 38C today dropping to 25C at night hours. Daytime mercury levels in the southern and northern highlands will range between 34 to 22 at night
