Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Epidemiological Investigation Committee in Jerash Tuesday closed 39 shops as a precautionary measure after an ice cream distributor was confirmed to be infected with coronavirus.
In an interview with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Jerash Health Director Dr. Ahmed Qadiri said shop owners were swabbed for the virus to maintain the public health and safety of local citizens.
Qadiri urged owners who have come into contact with the infected individual to get tested to ensure they have not contracted the virus.
He pointed out that no infections were recorded inside the governorate, adding that two truck drivers living in Jerash have tested positive for COVID-19 at the borders and are receiving treatment.
