Jaber : 22 new coronavirus cases recorded in the Kingdom

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The total number of COVID-19 cases in Jordan rose to 562 after 22 new cases were recorded on Monday, Minister of Health Dr. Sa'ad Jaber said.
In a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Jaber said that eight of the new cases are truckers, three of whom are Jordanians, in addition to two Jordanian students, who have recently returned home.
In addition, the Minister said that 12 of the new cases came into contact with a truck driver in the northeastern governorate of Mafraq, noting that three of the patients live in Irbid.
On a more positive note, Jaber said that a patient recovered and no fatalities from virus were recorded today, indicating that the number of people receiving medical treatment at hospitals inched up to 108.
On the government's effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus, he said that more than 4,000 tests were conducted across the Kingdom today, pushing the total since the outbreak of the pandemic to more than 119,000 tests.
