Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan imported a total of 324,000 barrels of Iraqi oil during April as per the deal the two countries inked last year, Energy Minister Hala Zawati said on Sunday.
In a statement, Zawati said the Kingdom's total imports of Iraqi oil since last September amounted to about 2.44 million barrels, with 10,000 barrels per day.
"In line with the governmental precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Iraqi oil tankers unload crude oil into Jordanian tankers at the border between the two countries," the minister added, noting that about 1114 tankers took part in the process.
Under the signed MoU, Jordan would receive 10,000 barrels of Iraqi crude oil daily, which constitutes 7 percent of the Kingdom's needs.
