Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The northern military zone units, on Monday, thwarted a drug smuggling attempt on the Jordanian-Syrian border, a security source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said on Tuesday.
"The rules of engagement were applied, forcing the smugglers to retreat to the Syrian territory," the source added.
After searching the area, about 3,822 Captagon pills and 6 palm-sized sheets of hashish were seized and transferred to the concerned authorities, he further said.
"The army forces will firmly deal with any infiltration and smuggling operation in order to protect citizens and the Kingdom's boarders" the source stressed.
