Army spokesperson urges citizens to abide by curfew instructions

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Army Spokesperson, Brigadier Gen. Mukhles al-Mufleh, said the measures taken by the government aim to preserve the safety and health of citizens.
In a message delivered to the people of Jordan and all residents, al-Mufleh said: "The Jordanian armed forces - the Arab army and security services affirm that the measures taken by the government aim to preserve your safety and health. So stay home and carry out the curfew instructions . The non-compliance and failure to obey the instructions will make us face a real tragedy, Allah forbid."
The army official also hailed Jordanians' firm commitment stemming from their keenness on their homeland to overcome this crisis.
As for curfew violators, he said penalties will applied to deter similar behaviors, adding it is not fair to leave this group to transfer Infection to others due to their recklessness and selfishness.
"We will implement Defense Order No. 2 , which imposes curfew in all governorates, through the deployment of the armed forces and security services with professionalism, and there is no room for leniency because the health of citizens is highly important.
"We appeal to citizens and residents to support the efforts of the armed forces and security services and to abide by curfew instructions to preserve their safety and health, and not to be subject to the deterrent penalties that we will apply as stipulated by the laws and instructions issued under Defense Order No. 2 , 2020, " he pointed out.
