Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The number of deaths resulting from the H1N1 virus across the Kingdom has risen to nine with another 341 infections, according to Assistant Secretary General of Primary Health Care in the Ministry of Health, Adnan Ishaq.
The fatalities were people with chronic and high risk diseases, who had no immunity before being infected with the virus, also known as swine flu, he told Jordan news agency Petra.
He pointed out that the response to the H1N1 vaccine, whose price has been reduced by half, "varies from one person to another, and that it is effective when taken at the present time, but its effectiveness is greater if taken in September and October every year."
Ishaq called on citizens to follow health precautions, including washing hands frequently, avoiding crowds, cleaning fruits and vegetables and increasing the intake of citrus fruits.
