Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Sunny yet cold weather conditions are expected to prevail today in most parts of the country, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with southeasterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
In the afternoon, winds will become southwesterly moderate, with a possibility of frost forming over the Badia and the southern high areas, the JMD said.
A slight in temperatures is forecast on Tuesday, while a cold air mass and a depression centered over Cyprus will begin affecting the Kingdom on Wednesday, accompanied by heavy rain in the western and eastern regions.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius, and in the southern cities 15 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 7, 8 and 5 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 12 degrees at night.
