Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - President of the Audit Bureau, Assem Haddad, Thursday received a delegation from the World Bank to discuss boosting cooperation in the supervisory and professional fields.
During the meeting, Haddad underlined the importance of the Bank's role in supporting and developing performance in many public sector institutions, expressing keenness for cooperation to serve professional, institutional and supervisory work.
He stated the Bureau has adopted a development plan for professional transformation to keep up with electronic developments and computerized systems, noting it will be implemented over the next three years.
He said the Bureau needs more support in auditing using computers and electronic automation.
Haddad also underscored the Bureau’s keenness to train and develop its cadres' skills in various fields, including communication skills and optimal use of information technology in the service of supervisory work.
The World Bank's representative voiced the bank's willingness to cooperate with the Audit Bureau to enhance oversight over public funds, and to enable it to audit projects funded by external grants.
