Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) on Thursday, forecast relatively cold weather in most parts of the country and mild conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba with southeasterly to northeasterly light winds.
The JMD in its daily brief warned public of a possible frost formation in the highlands, especially the southern region (Al-Sharah mountain range) and parts of the Badia region in the late night hours.
Similar weather conditions are expected to remain over the weekend with southeasterly moderate winds, the department said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 19 degrees Celsius in Amman, 17 in the northern cities and 14 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 6, 8 and 3 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees and lows standing at 12.
