Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Jaber, said the rate of influenza cases, especially H1N1 "Swine Flu", is within the "normal range" at this time of each year in all countries.
In a statement to "Petra" on Wednesday, Jaber announced the swine flu treatment is "available," adding the ministry is in direct contact with the World Health Organization (WHO) and official agencies to deal with this disease.
Headed by the minister, a team from the Ministry of Health has checked on the swine flu cases in Karak Governorate, Jaber noted, dismissing as "untrue" the figures circulated on the social media platforms in regard to H1N1 deaths and cases.
In this context, Jaber said the number of cases infected with swine flu in the Karak governorate until this morning Wednesday, has reached 19 cases, 17 have left hospitals after receiving treatment, while two are still hospitalized, one in moderate condition and the other listed as light, who are expected to be discharged Thursday.
To date, he announced the total number of swine flu cases in the Kingdom has reached 177, four have died, two in Karak Governorate.
Jaber called on citizens to seek credibility of the news sources and dodge rumors, announcing all the centers and hospitals of the Ministry of Health are working round the clock to serve citizens.
