"Upon receiving a report about a kidnapping attempt in Ain al-Basha district of Balqa governorate, a police patrol immediately moved to the scene, where one person began shooting, hitting two of the police officers," the statement added. The shooter, identified to be wanted with five criminal records, was arrested on Wednesday and investigations are underway.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two security personnel late Tuesday were injured after being attacked by an armed man," a statement by the Public Security Directorate said.

"Upon receiving a report about a kidnapping attempt in Ain al-Basha district of Balqa governorate, a police patrol immediately moved to the scene, where one person began shooting, hitting two of the police officers," the statement added.

The shooter, identified to be wanted with five criminal records, was arrested on Wednesday and investigations are underway.
