36 students suffer shortness of breath in Ramtha school fire

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Thirty-six students at Musab Bin Omeir Secondary School for Boys, in Ramtha governorate, suffered shortness of breath when a fire broke out in the school's building, a statement by the Civil Defense Department (CDD) said.

"CDD staff managed to distinguish the fire, which was caused by an electrical fault, and administered first aid to the students before taking them to Ramtha Public Hospital, where they were reported to be in fair condition," the statement added.

Minister of Education, Tayseer Nuaimi, visited the students in the hospital and checked on their health conditions while receiving the necessary aid.

Nuaimi affirmed the ministry’s keenness on the safety of students, praising the measures taken by the school administration when the fire occurred by implementing the evacuation plan in the school that includes 800 students and teachers.
