Jordanian dentist receives US award

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordanian prosthodontist Lara Bakaeen won the best Private Practice Prosthodontist Award in the United States, the first time it is awarded to a doctor based outside the United States.

The prize is awarded by the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP).

Bakaeen was honored for her contributions to the development of prosthodontics and the application of the latest methods in the treatment of patients.

She told Petra on Tuesday that "this achievement came after years of hard work and diligence, and keeping up with the latest developments."

Bakaeen obtained a bachelor's degree in dentistry from the University of Jordan in 1994. She was appointed as a research and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Dentistry. She holds a master's degree from an American university.
