Home Jordan News PM: King remained crystal clear on Baqoura, Ghamar 11-11-2019 02:03 PM Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said on Monday that His Majesty King Abdullah II has been, since more than a year, crystal clear on ending the Peace Treaty annexes on Al Ghamr and Baqura and the imposition of full Jordanian sovereignty on those lands. During the cabinet's weekly meeting, the Prime Minister said that there was no room for doubt or evasiveness or bargaining in the implementation of this decision on Baqura in the northwestern corner of the country and Al Ghamr, south of the Dead Sea. "This is a glorious day for Jordan, and a joyous day in the hearts of Jordanians," Razzaz said, adding that Baqoura and Ghamr are now under full Jordanian sovereignty. "No matter how long would it have taken, Jordan could not give up an inch of its territory, let alone two areas dear to the heart of every Jordanian citizen," the Prime Minister emphasized.
