Razzaz receives Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission's 2018 annual report

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister,Omar Razzaz, received on Monday a copy of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission ((IACC)'s 2018 annual report, which sums up the commission's work and achievements over a year period.

During his meeting with the IACC's Chairman, Muhannad Hijazi, and members, Razzaz lauded the work track of the commission, considered one of the most important supervisory bodies, and its pivotal role in preserving public funds, and fighting corruption and abuses in various sectors.

During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs Sami Dawood, Razzaz stressed the government's support for the IACC "to strengthen its technical and administrative capabilities to enable it to carry out its full role in the fight against corruption, which is a top priority that enjoys the attention of every Jordanian citizen".

He pointed to His Majesty King Abdullah II's continued emphasis on the need to fight corruption and enhance the standards of integrity and transparency as important leverages of the comprehensive reform process.

The government, he said, appreciates the effort exerted in the commission's annual report, affirming all recommendations will be studied by all ministries and government institutions and dealt with to achieve the desired transparency and integrity.

In turn, Dr. Hijazi presented the commission's main achievements, as mentioned in the report, in addition to what has been implemented in relation to the programs and projects of the National Strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption 2017-2025, pointing out the IACC's annual report 2018 included recommendations from the commission's perspective in following up on grievances and suggestions for improvement required in all directions.
