Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan participated in the second China International Import Expo, which was inaugurated on Tuesday by the Chinese President Xi Jinping in Shanghai.
In remarks at the opening ceremony, the Chinese leader said his country will pay more attention to the role of import, further cut tariffs and institutional costs, nurture a batch of innovative demonstration zones for import facilitation, and expand import of high-quality products and services from other countries.
Jinping added that China will adopt five measures to promote higher-level global economic openness, which include expanding market opening-up, optimizing the framework of opening-up, improving business environment, deepening multilateral and bilateral cooperation and promoting the building of the Belt and Road initiative.
The 5-day expo brings together experts from 155 countries and 26 international organizations. It also features 15 guest countries: Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, India, Italy, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Peru, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Zambia, as well as Jordan.
