Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Pleasant autumn-like weather conditions is expected to prevail today in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with clouds at different altitudes and a chance for scattered showers in the northern and central regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Thunderstorms are likely to occur in the northeastern regions of the Kingdom, while winds will be southwesterly moderate turning into northwesterly moderate at night, picking up at times and stirring dust in the desert, the JMD added.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, normal autumn weather conditions will continue nationwide as temperatures slightly decrease, with clouds at different altitudes and a chance for rainfall.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 24 degrees Celsius in Amman, 25 in the northern cities and 22 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 13, 12 and 7 respectively at nights. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 31 degrees and lows sliding to 18, the JMD added.
