Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah voiced the kingdom's categorical rejection of these "absurd practices and irresponsible provocations" that run counter to Israel's obligations as an occupying power in occupied East Jerusalem under international law. Qudah called on the Israeli authorities to promptly halt these practices, to respect the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the feelings of Muslims, and to respect the historical and legal situation in occupied Jerusalem.
