Two Jordanians held in Libya released

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, announced on Wednesday the release of two Jordanian citizens held in Libya for over a month.

The release of Alaa Jamal Mahmoud Abu Erjie and his brother Marwan Jamal Mahmoud Abu Erjie came after close follow-up and contacts from the ministry and security agencies, Qudah pointed out.

The citizens are expected to arrive at Queen Alia International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Since their detention, he affirmed efforts exerted by the ministry and the relevant security agencies led to the release of the two Jordanian citizens this morning and their safe return to the Kingdom.

Qudah congratulated the citizens' families for the safe return to homeland.
