Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Tuesday discussed with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, means of boosting bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in the region.
During the meeting, the two ministers hailed the level of coordination between Jordan and Egypt in various fields under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Safadi and Shoukry exchanged views on ways to "activate joint Arab action" in the face of challenges that threaten regional security and stability.
They also touched on developments in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and the crises in Syria, Yemen and Libya, as well as mechanisms to address them to serve Arab causes and issues of common interest.
The meeting tackled priorities for the next phase and prospects for Arab diplomatic action on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which will start in New York on 17 September.
