Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II Monday welcomed at Al Husseiniyeh Palace Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui, who conveyed to him a message from Interim President of the Republic of Tunisia Mohamed al-Nasser.
The King wished the interim leader good health and the people of Tunisia further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, King Abdullah affirmed his pride in the "brotherly and historical" relations between Jordan and Tunisia, and his keenness on expanding joint cooperation in the various fields to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples and serve Arab and Islamic issues.
Emphasis was also placed on the pursuit of coordination and consultation between the two countries on various issues of common interest and regional developments.
The meeting was attended by the King's Advisor for Communication and Coordination, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the Tunisian Ambassador in Amman.
