Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Although students across the kingdom headed to their schools on Sunday, teachers refused to enter classrooms in implementation of a general strike called for by the Jordan Teachers Association (JTA) to demand a 50% pay hike.
The number of students in public schools in Jordan is 1.5 million, while the number of teachers is about 80,000 teachers working in 3870 schools.
Meanwhile, Private schools did not take part in the sit-in and continued their school-day as regular.
