The statement said the government held several meetings with the JTA to reach solutions to its demands, which resulted to agreeing on adopting Educational Professions By-law that allows bonuses of up to 250 percent depending on the performance quality. The former JTA's council has been approved the by-law, the government said, affirming its commitment to applying it, which is "a binding legal document". The statement noted the government is keen to improve the conditions of the educational environment for students and teachers alike, but simultaneously will enforce the law provisions in the event of harming the educational process, and public facilities. The government also warned against any attempt to exploit teachers' sit-in for agendas far from the union's demands, and away from priorities for improving the educational process.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The government stressed its commitment to dialogue and its keenness to interact with the demands of the Jordan Teachers Association (JTA) taking into account the national interest, and not harming the students' right to schooling, according to its press statement released on Thursday.
