Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Health Saad Jabir on Sunday opened the World Medical Tourism Summit, under the title: "Future of Medical Tourism" organized by the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) in cooperation with the Pioneers Road Event Management.
Jabir, who deputized for the prime minister, said that the government is pursuing a structured medical tourism product and further promoting this key sector of the national economy. He indicated that medical services in the Kingdom rise to the highest international criteria and are run by highly-qualified multidisciplinary cadres.
Director General of the JTB Abdul Razak Arabiyat said that medical tourism in the Kingdom boasts many advantages that encourage foreign patients to come to receive treatment, noting that a total of 34,443 medical visitors have arrived since the beginning of the current year.
