Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) arrested 11 people on drug-related charges, among them was a wanted man linked to several international trafficking gangs.

AND personnel made the arrests during raids in the Amman, Balqa, Mafraq governorates, Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi, spokesperson of the Public Security Department (PSD), said.

In the capital, police, acting on a tip-off, swooped in on two vehicles, apprehended five people, and seized various quantities of Hashish and other narcotic pills, he said, while two other drug dealers were nabbed in central and southern Amman.

A raid was carried out on a house in Balqa, resulting in the arrest of one man and the seizure of blocks of Hashish, the spokesperson added.

AND nabbed a man in Mafraq governorate wanted in connection with trafficking crimes, in which international gangs were involved.
