Jordanian missing in Turkey found: Foreign Ministry

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday said a Jordanian citizens who was reported missing in Turkey was found in an Istanbul hospital recuperating from injuries he sustained following a traffic accident.

Director of Operations Center at the Ministry, Sufian Qudah, stated that the center and the Jordanian embassy in Ankara exerted extensive efforts to find Yazan al-Sheikh.

Earlier this month, al-Sheikh's family officially reported him missing to the ministry. The Jordanian embassy in Ankara closely followed up on the case with the Turkish authorities.

His father, who is currently in Istanbul, was notified of his condition.

The embassy is monitoring al-Sheikh's health condition to ensure he receives the proper care, the ministry affirmed, noting that it will facilitate the procedures of his return home to continue treatment.
