Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The three-day heatwave that brought temperatures as high as 39 degrees Celsius in Amman will start to subside on Thursday, pushing temperatures down and bringing relatively hot weather conditions in most parts of the country and hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on its daily brief.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman will reach 34 degrees Celsius, 32 in the northern cities and the southern governorates, dropping down to 21, 16 respectively. Mercury levels in the port city of Aqaba will be much higher jumping to 42 degrees during daytime, sliding down to 27 degrees at night.
Temperatures will continue to over the next two days, returning to their annual average and bringing normal summer weather conditions nationwide, with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
