Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - More than 1,000 Syrian refugees returned to their home country from Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said in a daily bulletin on Saturday.
"Over the past day, a total of 1,095 people returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states: 359 people ([including] 108 women and 183 children) left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and Talkalakh CPs [checkpoints], and 736 people (221 women and 375 children) from Jordan via the Nasib CP," the bulletin read.
Also, in the given period, Syrian engineering units found and defused 57 explosive devices, and cleared a territory of 3.2 hectares (8 acres) from mines in Damascus and Daraa provinces.
Since July 18, 2018, a total of 196,076 Syrians have returned home from abroad, including 69,251 refugees from Lebanon and 126,825 from Jordan, according to the bulletin.
