Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected by a relatively warm air mass Tuesday pushing temperatures 5-6 degrees above their annual average and bringing warm conditions across the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk at times, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will hover around 22 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern cities, dropping down to 11 at night. The weather will be a little bet colder in the southern parts with temperatures standing at 19 degrees during daytime and sliding to 8 at night. Hot conditions will prevail in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 30 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 19, the JMD explained.
Warm conditions will continue to prevail on Wednesday in many regions with clouds at various altitudes and southwesterly moderate to brisk wind, blowing dust in many areas, the department noted.
Starting Wednesday night, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression and creating cloudy skies with scattered rain in the northern and central areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk.
On Thursday, Jordan will remain under the impact of the cold and wet front, pushing temperatures down and bringing cold and cloudy weather with rainfall at times in various regions. Heavier rain accompanied with thunder and hail expected to arrive after midnight causing floods in valleys and lowlands.
