Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz arrived in London on Tuesday leading a senior government delegation to the London Initiative 2019 conference two days ahead of much-anticipated gathering that seeks to drum support for Jordan's economy and lure in investments.
The high-profile event, which carries the theme "Jordan: Growth and Opportunities", is also set to serve as a platform to highlight Jordan's economic reform drive and its investment-friendly environment.
"The London initiative mirrors an international interest in the need to help Jordan and support its growth-centered reform plans. It is an opportunity to explain the government's program to improve the business environment," State Minister for Media Affairs Jumana Ghneimat said.
Ghneimat added that the London Initiative 2019 conference is only part of broader drive to spur economic growth, increase exports and attract investments.
She pointed out that the government's team participating in the event will highlight the financial, economic and legislative reforms Jordan has taken.
The London conference will focus on presenting investment opportunities available in Jordan, Ghneimat noted, stressing that resolving domestic economic woes is based on establishing of job-generating projects and establishing self-reliance.
