Attempt to smuggle 100,000 narcotic pills foiled

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) foiled an attempt yesterday to smuggle 100,000 Captagon pills outside the Kingdom and arrested three people involved in the case.

Spokesman for the Public Security Department (PSD) Lieutenant Colonel Amer Sartawi said in a statement on Sunday that AND personnel received information on the intention of three people to prepare a large quantity of narcotic pills for smuggling to a neighboring country by vehicle through a border crossing.

He added that the investigations confirmed the authenticity of the information, noting that the smugglers were arrested in Qwiesmeh in East Amman with 100,000 Captagon pills in their possession.
