Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday creating pleasant conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes and southwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Monday, becoming 4-6 degrees above their annual average. Therefore, fair conditions will prevail in the hilly areas, while it will be warm in other regions with medium and high clouds and a chance for light showers in the eastern, southern areas central regions, the JMD added.
Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the desert areas.
The Kingdom on Tuesday will be affected by a cold air mass a accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus, that will bring lower temperatures and scattered rain in many areas, the department noted.
Temperatures for today in Amman and the northern cities will range between a high of 17 degrees Celsius and a low of 8 degrees while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 25 degrees sliding down to 14 degrees at night.
