Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A in temperatures is expected Monday, bringing cold and partly cloudy conditions with showers at the northern regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
In the afternoon, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold air mass accompanied by depression centered over west of Cyprus, creating cloudy skies and bringing rain across the country, the JMD added.
Rainfall is expected be heavier late at night that would be accompanied by thunder and hail forming floods in the valleys and the lowlands.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 13 degrees Celsius, while standing at 9 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 3, and 1 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 11, the JMD explained.
Jordan is forecast to see snow early Friday in highlands and areas located 1,100 meters above sea level, pushing temperatures down, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk stirring dust in the desert.
