King, Queen receive queen of Netherlands

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Tuesday received Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, who is visiting Jordan in her capacity as the UN Secretary General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
King Abdullah commended Queen Maxima’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusive development around the world.
Discussions covered the plans and programmes Jordan is implementing to increase economic growth, job opportunities, and ease access to financing for youth, women, and entrepreneurs to start small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The meeting touched on the London Initiative Conference, which will be hosted by the British government in cooperation with the Jordanian government later this month.
Discussions also covered the pressure on Jordan’s economy due to the Syrian refugee crisis, with His Majesty expressing appreciation for the support provided by the Netherlands and the United Nations to enable Jordan to cope with this burden.
Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, Planning Minister Mary Kawar, and Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Barbara Joziasse attended the meeting.
Queen Maxima is visiting Jordan for the first time in her capacity as the UN Secretary General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
During this visit, which started Sunday, she met with a number of officials and private sector representatives to discuss cooperation in digital financial services and means to support the implementation of the national strategy for inclusive financing.
Also during her visit, Queen Maxima met with a number of women entrepreneurs and was briefed on their experiences in securing financing for their projects.
