Ammon News - In his Saturday’s article in Al Ghad daily newspaper, columnist Jihad Mheisen, refers to a phone call he received recently from Khaled Meshal, head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas", who is currently in Syria.
In his article Mheisen is analysing the discussion between him and Meshal, regarding the relation between Jordan and Hamas.
“Meshaal words carried political implications that must be captured and built upon towards a balanced relationship with Hamas,” Mheisen said.
“Hamas movement, according to Meshal does not want to have an impact on the Jordanian political scene, nor participate in any division here," the columnist noted, adding “Hamas movement does not have time to intervene in the Jordanian politics, according to statements by Abu Walid- Meshal”.
He also refers to a speech by Meshal when he was in Jordan attending his father’s funeral one week ago.
“Meshal wanted to emphasize that Jordan is Jordan and Palestine is Palestine, at the political level, despite the overlap between people of the two countries in other issues,” Mhesian added.
