Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A rise in temperatures is expected on Thursday and Friday, becoming 5-6 degrees above their annual average and creating fair conditions across the country with clouds at medium and high altitudes, according to the Jordan Metrological Department (JMD).
Winds will be southwesterly moderate blowing dust mainly in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom, the JMD said.
Pleasant conditions will continue to prevail on Saturday across many parts of the country, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes.
Scattered rain is also expected in the evening that might turn heavy and accompanied with thunder in the southern areas, mainly in Aqaba. Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the southern and eastern regions, the department noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach18 degrees Celsius in Amman and the southern cities, dropping down to 5 and 3 degrees respectively.
The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 27 degrees Celsius and lows dropping down to 13 at night, the JMD added.
