Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - On the sidelines of his participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Wednesday met with his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly for a discussion on Jordanian-Egyptian ties and ways of cementing cooperation in various domains.
Razza said both the Jordanian and Egyptian governments should build on the outcome of last week's meeting between His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi in Amman and work toward removing obstacles to closer cooperation.
Razzaz and Madbouly discussed ways to increase cooperation in economic and energy fields, as well as importing part of Jordan's natural gas needs from Egypt, which will contribute to reducing costs on national industries.
The meeting also touched on tourism. In this context, Razzaz told his Egyptian counterpart about the boom in Jordan's tourism sector driven by robust promotional campaigns abroad.
