Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, briefed a Saudi military delegation, headed by the Assistant Director-General of the General Department for Religious Affairs of the Saudi Forces, Maj. Gen. Misfer bin Hassan Qahtani, on the ministry's role on protecting Jerusalem and its holy sites.

During the meeting, Abu Al-Basal said the ministry has appointed administrative personnel and guards inside Al-Aqsa Mosque to help stop Israel's attempts to storm and Judaize the courtyards of the holy site.

Abu Al-Basal also briefed the delegation on the ministry's diverse services, which aim to spread the message of Islam based on moderation and tolerance, as well as its role in social, economic and developmental aspects.
