Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ambassador Majid Al-Qatarna on Monday condemned Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Al-Haram al-Sharif, the latest of which was the Israeli Minister of Agriculture's storming of the holy shrine accompanied by extremists and under Israeli police protection.

Al-Qatarna said that such acts were a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world and violated Israel's obligations as an occupying power in East Jerusalem, in accordance with international law.

Al-Qatarna added that the Jordan holds the Israeli government responsible for such acts and for the safety of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and calls for an immediate halt to these provocations.
