Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he wants to protect Kurds in Syria even as the US pulls forces out.

Addressing a cabinet meeting, Trump said that the US is getting out of Syria “over a period of time” without specifying the exact period, despite earlier media reports that say the period could extend to four months.

Trump clarified that he never specified the period of withdrawal to take four months.

The US President also reiterated what he said before about Russia and Iran being unhappy with the US withdrawal from Syria.
