Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia on Sunday met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi for a meeting during which the two countries agreed to take rapid and effective steps to develop bilateral economic, trade, investment and security cooperation and to increase coordination on regional issues.
During the meeting, which was attended by Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel, Prime Minister Ouyahia lauded bilateral ties and recalled Jordan's historical positions towards Algeria and its security.
He said the two countries share moderate vision and brotherly relations aimed to achieve more cooperation that serves the interests of the two countries and contributes to the Arab causes.
Safadi stressed the historic Jordanian-Algerian relations and the wide prospects to strengthen them to achieve the visions of the two countries' leaderships.
Later, Safadi and Messahel discussed the regional developments and areas of bilateral cooperation.
Safadi and Messahel agreed to give new impetus to efforts to enhance relations next year by holding technical meetings between officials of both countries aimed at activating existing cooperation agreements and inking a new accord to complete the necessary legal frameworks to increase trade exchange and economic and educational cooperation.
