Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A depression centered over Turkey, will start affecting the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy weather with scattered rain in the northern and central regions with southwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
On Thursday, another depression centered over Cyprus is also forecast to affect the country, pushing temperatures down and creating cold and partly cloudy conditions, with rainfall at times, the JMD added
Heavy rain is also expected in the northern parts of the country accompanied by thunder, the department added.
Mercury levels will rise few degrees on Friday, but relatively cold weather will remain in most areas, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with low clouds and southeasterly moderate, the JMD further said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 14 degrees Celsius in Amman, 15 in the southern cities, and 16 in the northern governorates, dropping down to 9, 11 and 7 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 14 degrees at night, the JMD added.
