Depression forecast to bring rain in coming days

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Unstable conditions are expected nationwide on Tuesday, bringing relatively cold weather with clouds at different altitudes and scattered showers, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times, especially at night, accompanied by thunder and hail in some parts of the country, causing floods in valleys and lowlands, while winds will be southeasterly moderate picking up at times, the JMD said.

Daytime temperatures expected in Amman and the northern cities for today will reach 21 degrees Celsius, 19 in the southern cities, dropping at night to 11,12 and 10 respectively. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will register a high of 28 degrees and a low of 19.

On Wednesday and Thursday, a slight in temperatures is forecast, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with showers that might become heavy accompanied with thunder across many parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added further.
