Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Friday decided to form a fact finding ad hoc committee to investigate the circumstances behind the tragic incident of the Dead Sea, which left 21 people killed, most of them schoolchildren on a school outing.
The panel will be chaired by deputy premier Rajai Muasher and comprises ministers of justice, interior, education and higher education, health, municipal affairs tourism, legal affairs, media affairs, public works and housing as members.
The premier tasked the committee with submitting a comprehensive report on all details of the incident, so as the government could take the appropriate measures in this regard.
Razzaz, moreover, assigned the panel with reviewing conditions and standards of school trips, and to present recommendations for tightening up these conditions to ensure the safety of the students.
The Prime Minister also instructed the panel to present a report on the conditions of bridges, public structures and infrastructure across the Kingdom, as well as recommendations on developing of an early-warning system to deal with natural disasters.
