Moderate conditions forecast until Wednesday, depression Thursday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail on Tuesday in the hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief said.
Clouds at different altitudes are also forecast with a chance for scattered showers mainly in the northern areas, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the southern and eastern areas, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 30 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 19 and 18 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 37 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 27 degrees at night.
Mercury levels will few degrees on Wednesday, but moderate conditions will continue in most parts of the country, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with cloudy skies and a slight chance for local showers. Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk raising dust in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD noted.
On Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected by a depression centered over Cyprus, accompanied by a wet and relatively cold air mass. Therefore, a tangible in temperatures is expected with partly cloudy and rainfall at times across many regions. Heavy rain is also expected at times, while winds will be westerly brisk blowing dust in the Badia areas, the department further said.
