Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jaber Border Crossing Center's external gate was partially opened on Saturday evening, to enable stranded passengers between Jordanian and Syrian borders to enter and continue their journey.
Director of the Jaber Border Crossing Center, Col. Imad Riyalat, said this action was taken due to the number of passengers stranded between the Jordanian and Syrian borders, as the opposite border gates close at the end of the official working hours scheduled between both parties at 4 pm.
The center stops receiving passengers by 3:00 pm to conduct paper works and prevent piling up passengers between borders, due to "an agreement with the Syrians about to end the work at 4 pm," Riyalat added in a statement.
The Jaber/Nasib border crossing between Jordan and Syria was reopened on October 15 after being closed for three years
