Royal Decree appoints Hisham al-Tal as president of the Constitutional Court

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Royal Decree was issued Saturday appointing Hisham Faleh al-Tal as President of the Constitutional Court and Akram Aref Masa'deh and Mohammad Madalla Mahadeen as members as of October 10, 2018.

It is noteworthy that the Constitution and the Constitutional Court Act, which was established in 2012 as part of the constitutional amendments of 2011, provide that the term of membership in the Constitutional Court is six years non-renewable.

The bylaw of the Court provides for the appointment of three new members every two years from the date of appointment of the first members of the Court since its establishment.

The Court currently includes in its membership Mansour Hadidi, Noman Khatib, Mohammad Thaweeb, Mohammed Alawneh, Mohammad Mubaideen, Qasim Momani, and Fayez Hamarna, as well as the new members.
