Ammon News - AMMONNEWS — Hajj Abdul Rahim Meshal, father of Hamas Political Bureau Head Khalid Meshal, died in Amman on Friday morning.

It was still unannounced where he will be buried and if the government will allow his son, Khalid, to visit Jordan to attend the funeral.

Khalid Meshal has not visited Amman since he was expelled in 1999.

Khalid's father, born in 1918, took part in several wars in the past century and later emigrated to Kuwait for work.

Khalid was arrested in 1999 in Jordan after he returned from a trip to Iran and the government shut down all Hamas offices in the country.
