Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi late Saturday discussed with the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Nasser Kamel arrangements for convening the Union's third Regional Forum.
The forum, which will bring together countries of the Mediterranean, will be held on October 8 in Barcelona, Spain and co-chaired by Jordan and the European Union.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, Safadi stressed the importance of this forum in enhancing security and political, economic and cultural cooperation among Mediterranean countries.
The foreign minister also met with President of the International Crisis Group Robert Malley and discussed with him the latest developments in the region, especially the Palestinian cause and the Syrian crisis.
